Biohumus "Agrospas" is a 100% natural organic fertilizer derived from the metabolic activities of earthworms belonging to the species EISENIA FOETIDA. Essentially, biohumus represents a loose, dark-colored soil-like substance possessing a naturally mild and agreeable "earthy" scent. It is obtained through industrial-scale conversion of ordinary cow dung by populations of earthworms. Organoleptically, it closely resembles chernozem (black earth).
The outstanding agrochemical properties of biohumus are explained by its unique chemical composition: it contains up to 32% humates (on a dry-weight basis). The value of biohumus lies in the fact that all valuable bioactive components required by plants exist in chelated forms, ensuring complete assimilation by plants. Additionally, the quantitative composition of macronutrients and micronutrients in biohumus is ideally balanced, accounting for its potent growth-stimulating characteristics.
Biohumus "Agrospas" also comprises a multicomponent community of microorganisms beneficial for plant development. After introducing biohumus into the soil, these beneficial microorganisms begin actively colonizing it, displacing and suppressing existing pathogens. Useful bacteria enhance the agrochemical qualities of the soil by enriching it with phytohormones, natural fungicides, and other beneficial substances.
Biological impact
- Regular organic components of the soil undergo accelerated mineralization;
- Root and shoot growth of plants is promoted;
- Seed germination success and plant vitality increase markedly;
- Percentage of nitrate content in fruits, tubers, and vegetables drops sharply;
- Accumulation of heavy metals in plant tissue is almost completely blocked;
- Overall plant growth speeds up considerably, shortening the duration of the vegetative stage;
- Yield of agricultural crops increases, and shelf-life of harvested produce extends;
- Resistance of agricultural and ornamental plants to multiple diseases and pest infestations multiplies manifold.
