Catalyzed ABS is used where the result is expected very fast compare to normal Ammonium bisulphite. The USB of this product is that as it has a metal catalyst in it, the reaction time is very less and thus the O2 scavenging time is also less. This saves a lot of process time to remove O2 from the system. Generally, to reduce 1 ppm of dissolved oxygen in water with retention of 5 mints the ABS used will be 9.5ppm Max but due to its catalyzed property it will take less time.
Nickle catalyzed Ammonium Bisulphite is a green colored clear solution. Due to its catalyst property the reaction is very fast.
