Alborz Insurance Company (AIC) was established as a private entity on 21st July 1959 with the primary aim of providing superior quality insurance services, generating diversity in insurance business and obtaining customer satisfaction. Within a short period of commencing its activities, the company was able to obtain the confidence of owners of capital and commodities.

After the victory of the glorious Islamic revolution, due to its successful prior record, AIC continued its operations under the same name. following the execution of general policies of principle 44 and necessity of privatization of state insurance companies , 80 percent of alborz insurance company shares was divested to the private sector through stock exchange market and was very welcome by stock investors and activities , thus a state insurance company again changed.

Today AIC, with 49 Branches and 4 sub Branches , with more than 1250 active Agents, 267 Brokers and more than 1300 employees nationwide, AIC is well prepared and fully equipped to render insurance services to its customers.

In 2004, the company succeeded in obtaining ISO 9001-2000 for Quality Management System. Also, in 2004, 2005, 2006 the company was able to attain the first position for "Respecting and Attaining Customer Satisfaction" among all other private and state-owned Banks and Insurance Companies in Iran. Furthermore, as per the opinion polls for comparing and regulating Customer Satisfaction carried out by the Deputy Office for Human Resources Development and Management of the President of Islamic Republic of Iran , AIC was able to obtain the first position among all administrative organizations.

Having been rated first for achieving Customer Satisfaction during four consecutive years, AIC was awarded the coveted "Merit Reward" by the Governor of Tehran Province.

Being ranked first among all private and public insurance companies for deployment of IT, Transparency in Financial Reporting, Presence and Proficiency in Capital Investment market, provides further reason for AIC to be proud of its achievements , Also trade minister , propounded the certificate of observance of consumer rights to AIC.
