Shahr_o_Khaneh Consulting Engineers has been established in Isfahan by the efforts of many experts and managers practicing in Urban Planning and Architecture fields (i.e. Organic Consulting Engineers & Urban Planning Unit of National Iranian Steel-Mill Company).
In the Same Year (1982) the Company has began its activity by concluding its first Urban Planning Contract for Shahreza Comprehensive Plan in Isfahan Province & Borujen Comprehensive Plan in Charmahal-o-Bakhtiari Province and began its first Architectural Project with Isfahan Kaveh-coach terminal which was the first outer-city coach terminal in Isfahan.
Shahr_o_Khaneh consultant based on its so many years of efforts in regional Planning (more than 50 projects) in 1995 gained first grade competency certificate and in 2006 was the first consulting engineers firm to gain first grade Specialty Certificate in Geography and Spatial Planning Studies. Regional Planning Department of Shahr_o_Khaneh has been formed in 1988 by its first holding for Sistan Regional plan, making use of Socio-economic Department extperts of the firm. This department has been continued & expanded until know.
The Sistan Regional plan was ratified by Urban Planning and Architecture high council of Iran and was also, in practice the base for county (Shahrestan) Comprehensive Plans. In the field of Urban development plans, Shahr_o_Khaneh consultant due to its 100 Successful projects has gained first & second grade competency certificate in Urban Planning from Planning and Management Organization of Iran.
Architectural Department of the firm also in the past years has designed and supervised more than 50 projects.
Shahr_o_Khaneh's effective efforts in these fields resulted in gaining competency certificates in :
- First grade specialty certificate in designing houses, business, administrative, Industrial & military buildings
- First grade competency certificate in educational, athletics & health buildings.
- Third grade competency certificate in Urban Design issued by Planning and Management Organization.
At the present Shahr_o_Khaneh has 120 personnel in its offices in Isfahan, Shiraz & Zahedan.
The firm consists of eleven share holders in which Mr. Mohamad – mehdi Dorvash is its managing director and together with Mr. Ghahreman Samimi and Mr. Ahmad-reza Jooyafar form members of board of directors.
The research Unit of the consultant firm in past two decades through translation & literary works of related articles to the Projects has upgraded the theoretical framework of the Projects. This attitude has been started by becoming the member of the Urban Research & Development Committee of Consulting Engineers Association of Iran and it is still continuing.
The firm is assessed by Quality Management System and at the present is member of consulting Engineers Association of Iran and member of guild Society of Consulting Engineers of Tehran and Isfahan.
