Zanjan iron ore complex is located in Zanjan province, Abhar district, Soltaniye rural and close to Sorkheh Dizaj village. In geology quadrangle map 1:100000 Tarom (Geology Survey of Iran, Hirayama 1966) and it is based on tectonic of IRAN it located in Alborz-Azerbaijan structural zone and in mineralization zone of Tarom.
Yazd iron ore mines centers are located in the north-west of Yazd province and its path-way is through Yazd-Meybod then asphalted road to Foolad-Meybod road to Aminabad two-way incident and as well as through minor road to outcrops of mines.
These mines are situated in the semi-mountainous area with dry weather with clement summer and cold winter. The oldest existing rocks in this area related to Kahar formation which considered as rock basement of the area and it is located in the distance around 8 Kilometers southeast side of mines in Sangestan mount.
