Ethernet LAN Cable, Category 5e, 4 Pair, UTP, solid copper core LSZH network Ethernet cable

Applications:
We supply a comprehensive range of Low Smoke Zero Halogen (LSZH) cables for use in applications where smoke emission and toxic fumes could pose a risk to human health and essential equipment in the event of a fire.

They are therefore often specified indoors, especially in public areas, and in other hazardous environments and poorly ventilated areas.

Reduction of dangerous / poisonous gases

Unlike PVC cables and those made of other compounds which produce vast amounts of dense black smoke, toxic fumes and acid gas when exposed to fire, LSZH cables produce very low levels of smoke and toxic fume and no acid gases.

What's the difference between PVC and LSZH cables

Physically, PVC cables are very soft; LSZH cables are more rigid because they contain the flame retardant compound, and they are aesthetically more pleasing

A PVC cable (made of polyvinyl chloride) has a jacket that gives off heavy black smoke, hydrochloric acid, and other toxic gases when it burns. Low Smoke Zero Halogen (LSZH) cable has a flame-resistant jacket that doesn't emit toxic fumes even if it burns.

LSZH more expensive and less flexible

LSZH cables usually cost more than the equivalent PVC cable, and certain types are less flexible. LSZH cable does have some restrictions.
