What is 316 stainless steel sheet?
316/316L stainless steel coil and sheet is part of the austenitic family of stainless steel. 316 grades contain a higher level of Nickel than 304 giving it an improved corrosion resistance over 304 grades.
What's the difference between 316 and 316L?
316L stainless steel is almost identical to 316. The only difference is the carbon content. 316L's lower carbon content imparts even better corrosion resistance than 316. 316L does not require post-weld annealing.
