Tungsten Molybdenum Alloy Energized Electrodes For TIG Welding Machine

1. Description of Tungsten Molybdenum Alloy Energized Electrodes For TIG Welding Machine:

Tungsten molybdenum electrode is composed of tungsten and molybdenum and its manufacturing method is same to molybdenum and molybdenum alloy production method, which is after powder metallurgy to process processing and melting, so we can obtain different shapes electrodes, such as rods, plates, wire or other customized.

Tungsten-molybdenum and tungsten-molybdenum alloy have the characteristics of good thermal conductivity, electrical conductivity, low thermal expansion coefficient, high temperature strength, low vapor pressure and wear resistance. Component manufacturing, heavy materials for aerospace and defense industry applications. The current product is mainly used on the energized electrode of the argon arc welding machine.

3. Principle of Tungsten Molybdenum Alloy Energized Electrodes For TIG Welding Machine:

Tungsten-molybdenum alloy electrode argon arc welding is a welding method that uses a tungsten-molybdenum alloy rod as an electrode and argon gas for protection. The method composition is shown in the following figure. During welding, argon gas is continuously sprayed from the nozzle of the welding torch, and a protective layer is formed around the arc to isolate the air to prevent it from oxidizing the tungsten-molybdenum alloy electrode, the molten pool and the adjacent heat-affected zone, so as to obtain a high-quality weld. In the welding process, filler wire can be added or not added according to the specific requirements of the workpiece.
