Physical Development Research Center (Urban and Regional) Consulting Engineers was established in 2001 under the registration number 12968. With the permission it obtained from the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology and Management and Planning Organization (MPO), the Research Center built on its scientific-professional experiences in the areas of design and construction management of the greatest public buildings and utilities, as well as the most advanced study and research projects carried out on urban planning and architecture during the recent three decades, to work in different areas.
The Research Center started its activities based on article 2 of its articles of association in research, training and practical areas as follows:
1- To carry out research at urban, regional and national levels and physical planning, management of physical projects as well as strategic promotion and training with a view to doing urban and regional, urban planning, architectural, construction, environmental developments and other related areas;
2- To develop strategic plans, and carry out studies on urban development, architecture and urban planning projects as well as management, direction and monitoring of the projects;
3- To do activities leading to both qualitative and quantitative development of the Research Center’s tasks, - including training courses, seminars, urban planning and architecture competitions, assessment, compilation and translation of the published works relevant to the theme of the Center like the results and findings of related scientific research projects and trainings, establishment of growth centers ( technology incubators) in compliance with the related regulations and obtaining permission from concerned and qualified authorities;
4- To present scientific and technical consultancy services in the areas of the Research Center’s professional activities with manufacturing, services and construction sectors as well as the project manager (fourth factor)
5- Issue quality control certificates.
