Established in 1981 in Bandar Abbas (south of Iran), Bargh Bandar Company (BBCO) - which is now one of the biggest contracting companies in the region- has a quite interesting developmental history since foundation.
Industrial and non-industrial developments in the region made it feasible for the founders of BBCO to set up up a fully equipped workshop for assembly of electrical panels with a wide range of applications. Very soon, BBCO tuned to the main supplier of electical panels in the region. Gradually they started small industrial projects like installation wide range of air conditions, refrigeration, ice-making plants, engine rooms, pump stations and ....
In 1996, when the then officials in Hormozgan Province decided to implement projects for modernizing the traditional city water and sewage systems, BBCO was one of the first contractors which equipped itself to manage such projects. BBCO applied technologies like dewatering, micro-tunneling and pipe-jecking for the implementation of such projects. The successful project run by BBCO has made it one of the most contractors of Water and Sewage projects in the region. BBCO is regularly invited for tenders which are of high importance for the province.
Entering petroleum industry projects is another milestone in the development history of BBCO. In its first and one of the biggest projects, BBCO implemented a project with more than Euro 20 million value for one of the biggest bunkering companies of the region called Bana Gostar Karaneh in Shahid Rajaei Port Complex. In this project, BBCO was the main contractor for all stages of the first phase which completed within 18 months.
In summer of 2009 and after meeting the requirements for quality management systems, environmental and occupational safety mangement systems, BBCO was certified for ISO/TS 29001:2007- ISO 14001:2004- OHSAS 18001:2007 by TUV NORD.
