INTRODUCTION TO PULSED NEUTRON LOGGING
To develop a logging system capable of measuring quantitative oil (or water) saturation in downhole formations, the following two constraints must be observed:
·The change in parameters between oil and water in the formation must be significant when compared to changes caused by other downhole variables.
·It must make repeatable measurements with existing technology.
